NOTICE OF AVAILABILITY FOR PUBLIC REVIEW AND NOTICE OF INTENT TO ADOPT A MITIGATED NEGATIVE DECLARATION FOR THE SODA SPRINGS GENERAL STORE DEVELOPMENT PERMIT (PLN19-0143; DVP19-1; EIS19-0008) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County of Nevada, as a lead agency, is circulating for public review a Draft Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration (IS/MND) in accordance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) for the proposed Soda Springs General Store Development Permit. PROJECT LOCATION: 21784 Donner Pass Road in the Soda Springs Rural Center, approximately 1/3 mile east of Highway 80. APN: 047-101-019. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the Soda Springs General Store Development Permit project (EIS19-0008). A Development Permit (DVP19-1) proposing a 2,560 sq. ft. commercial building with an 800 sq. ft. covered porch and associated site improvements such as parking, lighting and landscaping to allow for the relocation of the existing Soda Springs Store. PUBLIC REVIEW: As a lead agency, in accordance with CEQA, Nevada County is distributing the Draft IS/MND to interested public and regulatory authorities for review and comment. Nevada County is inviting comments and concerns regarding the IS/MND during the public review period spanning January 17, 2020 to February 5, 2020, at 5:00 p.m. DOCUMENT AVAILABILITY: The Draft Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration is available for review on Nevada County's website at https://www.mynevadacounty.com/994/Environmental-Documents.
