Public Health Program Coordinator or
Public Health Program Assistant.

Salary Range 45: ($24.42-$29.69) per hour OR
Salary Range 41A: ($20.35-$24.73) per hour

Under supervision/direction, to plan, coordinate, and evaluate the comprehensive tobacco control program focused on pursuing legislated and voluntary tobacco control policy, changing social norms, and ending the tobacco epidemic (funded by Prop 99 and Prop 56 through the California Department of Public Health / California Tobacco Control Program); develop and execute multi-year work plans in pursuit of core objectives, through a broad set of intervention and evaluation activities; submit detailed progress reports to the state funding agency every six months, with culminating reports at the end of the contract period; co-facilitate of Alpine County Health & Wellness Coalition; collaborate with county departments, local organizations, and state agencies; and perform related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• PH Program Coordinator-Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in public health or closely related field and three years of experience in public health education, including at least one year in a supervisory capacity.
• PH Program Assistant- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in public health or closely related field and one year of experience in public health education. Additional experience in public education may be substituted for the required education on a year to year basis.

COMPENSATION & 100% FTE in a five step salary system with advancement upon satisfactory completion
BENEFITS of a one year probationary period and annual increases thereafter.
Salary Range 45: ($24.42-$29.69) per hour
Salary Range 41A: ($20.35-$24.73) per hour
o Health Insurance: County provides medical, dental and vision coverage for employee and dependents with co-payment by employee dependent on family status.
o Vacation: Accrued at the rate of 6.67 hours per month, or 10 vacation days per year.
o Sick Leave: Earned at the rate of 8 hours per month.
o Holidays: 15 paid holidays per year.
o Retirement: Participation in the California Public Employee Retirement System (PERS), 2% at 62 plan New Members
o Deferred Compensation: the County has a voluntary deferred compensation program.
